An exhibition of locally made artworks celebrating the Steam Tug Brent is set to open on Wednesday (July 12), with pieces by the Maldon Mayor up for auction.

Held at St Mary's Church, the Steam Tug Brent Art Show will see art produced by amateurs and professionals in the Maldon District and further afield. More than 65 pieces have been submitted by a diverse range of entrants.

Enjoy the peace of the setting while you look at the exhibits and enjoy tea and homemade cakes. There are also activities on offer for young people or those young at heart!

Opening times for the exhibition can be found below:

• Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 July: 10.30am until 4.30pm
• Friday 14 July: 12 noon until 4.30pm
• Saturday 15 July: 10.30am until 4.30pm
• Sunday 16 July: 12.30pm until 4.30pm
