This year's Maldon Christmas Fayre will take place on Thursday 24 November, from 4pm until 9pm, along the High Street.

Town Councillor Michael Pearlman, Chairman of the Christmas Fayre, said: "This is my seventh year of being chairman of the event.

"Each year, it has brought thousands of people into the town to enjoy the stalls and entertainment.

"This year it will even bigger and better, and we can promise an amazing evening."

There will be a fun-filled night of entertainment and stalls, before Maldon's Christmas lights will be switched on throughout the High Street.

Organisers say there will be "something for everyone", including a special visit from Santa Claus himself.

The evening will feature characters from Frozen, craft stalls and, of course, Santa's Grotto.

Bookings are currently being taken for local craft and produce stalls for the Christmas Fayre.
