A karaoke fundraising night will be held to raise money for the Maldon And District Dramatics Ssociety (MADDS) this Saturday (May 13) from 7pm.

MADDS is a brand new dramatics society for Maldon and the surrounding areas. It was founded in October 2022 by Aimee Hart and Holly Hallam, who both have degrees in musical theatre.

They share a vision to provide inclusive community theatre in the Maldon district, creating opportunities for individuals on and off stage to express their creativity.

Aimee and Holly believe theatre is for everyone, "whether you like to sing, dance, or act - or help out with the technical team, the backstage team or front of house".

This summer, MADDS will perform a musical theatre showcase called 'Musical Maddness' at Maldon Town Hall on July 8 and 15.
