Maldon Drama Group presents Shakespeare's popular comedy Much Ado About Nothing at the Town Hall - with a 1940s twist.

The play is set in 1945, at a pub in the East End of London. As the regulars greet soldiers returning from the war, thoughts of conflict turn to thoughts of love but things don't go entirely to plan. The noble Claudio falls head over heels in love with Hero, but will his love withstand the slanderous plottings of his enemies? Benedick and Beatrice have a combative friendship, but will they admit to their true feelings?

Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30 'curtain up'. A licensed bar will be available.
