Heybridge Parish Council will be opening a foodbank offering essential items for residents needing support.

The foodbank will offer provisions for those needing help and will open its doors at Plantation Hall from 11am to 2pm each Friday, starting on 15 January.

A spokesperson said: "If you know of anyone that needs support, then please let them know about this.

"Many of the people who may need help may not use social media, so please knock and give them our contact details.

"We may also be able to deliver to people who are self-isolating if they need support collecting prescriptions and with shopping, etc."

Anyone who needs support or wishes to use the foodbank can call the Parish Clerk on 01621 855652 or 07523 339928.
