Lucy receives Active Essex award for keeping Maldon people on the move during lockdown

On behalf of Active Essex, I have been privileged to present Lucy West of Happy Hearts Exercise with an Essex Activity Hero Award for her outstanding contribution to her community throughout 2020.

A previous award winner, Lucy offers sociable, safe, effective, supportive and fun exercise classes for the over 50's in Maldon and the surrounding area, but during this difficult time has been unable to conduct her usual regular indoor classes.

Lucy has risen to the challenge by keeping in touch with Zoom meetings, newsletters and holding outdoor sessions when restrictions have allowed. She has now produced over 30 weekly online videos with are published on Youtube so that her clients can continue to exercise and stay healthy until normal classes can be resumed.
