Nominations open for Mayor's Award and the Pride of Maldon Awards 2021

The hunt is on to find inspirational individuals and groups for Maldon Town Council's annual community awards.

The Town Mayor of Maldon, Councillor Abdul Hafiz, is seeking people of any age for the Mayor's Award for Service to the Community 2021, as well as nominations in a whole host of different categories for The Pride of Maldon Awards 2021.

This is the twenty-ninth year that the Mayor will present a community award in recognition of community work and voluntary work.

Individuals, groups, charities, sports and social clubs, community associations, associations for the disabled, churches, schools, youth organisations, etc. are all eligible.

Nominations are sought in the following nine categories for The Pride of Maldon Awards:

-Citizen of the Year

-Carer of the Year

-Young Achiever of the Year

-Educator of the Year

-Community Impact Award

-Long Service Volunteer Award

-Art and Culture Award

-Best Business Contribution to the Community

-Pride of Maldon Award, for which the judges will be looking for an ambassador for the town whose contribution to Maldon improves life for residents and visitors and whose commitment is outstanding.

How to make a Nomination

The deadline for nominations is Friday 2 April 2021.
