Police appeal for witnesses after teenage boy is injured in road accident

Police have appealed for witnesses after a teenage boy was injured in a road accident in Maldon yesterday (Friday, 5 March) evening.

Police and ambulance services rushed to the scene at Wantz Road, Maldon, shorty before 5.30pm after the teenager was in collision with an Audi.

A police spokesperson said: "The boy sustained injuries which required hospital treatment but are not life-threatening or life-changing.

"The driver of the Audi remained at the scene and no arrests have been made. The road was closed for a short time.

"Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information on it should submit a report online using the link here or use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and11pm.

"You can also call us on 101 and cite incident 951 of March 5."
