A road in Maldon is set to be closed overnight every day this week to allow roadworks to take place.

A section of Limebrook Way, in Maldon, will be shut between 8pm and 5am for five nights from today (Monday, 15 November) to Friday (19 November).

The road will be closed between the roundabout on Limebrook Way, near Morrison's, and Meeson Meadows.

This is to allow for the planing, surfacing and lining of the new three-armed roundabout on Limebrook Way, which is part of a new housing development in the town by Taylor Wimpey - Limebrook Park.

Once completed, the development is set to bring around 1,000 homes to the area, alongside potential for shops, restaurants, a pub and a primary school.

There will also be two early years and childcare facilities, a large area set aside for business and commercial use and a wide range of green space with sports pitches and play areas.

The new roundabout is being installed on Limebrook Way, alongside street lighting and highway drainage, to create an access into the site.

Diversions will be in place for drivers.

You can contact Dean Wingfield with any enquiries on 07458 128451.
