Four decades of legendary soul and disco artists are set to perform in Maldon next year, as the return of Soultasia has been confirmed.

The one-day soul festival is set to take place on Friday 17 June 2022 at Promenade Park on Park Drive.

Sister Sledge is the first act to be announced by organisers, with more artist announcements to follow soon.

Fans will get to enjoy the band's greatest hits, including Thinking of You, We are Family, Lost in Music, Frankie and more.

Organised by In the Park Concerts in partnership with Maldon District Council, Soultasia came to the town for the first time in July this year.

The line-up included Rose Royce featuring Gwen Dickey, Jocelyn Brown, Alexander O'Neal, Odyssey, Kenny Thomas and Loose Ends.

Organisers have said the return of the festival to Maldon will be their "biggest event so far".

There is a limited number of early bird tickets available, at £21 each, which can be bought here.

In the Park Concerts has also announced the return of Fantasia, which will see pop acts from the last four decades take to the stage at Promenade Park the day after Soultasia, on Saturday 18 June 2022.
