65-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assault following 'disturbance' on Maldon High Street

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident on Maldon High Street last night (Saturday, 11 December).
Police were called to reports of a "disturbance" outside Skin Sorcerer, a tattoo studio on the High Street, at 8pm.
Customers of the Rose and Crown pub opposite the studio said they saw a "big police response" to the incident.
Officers arrested a 65-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of assault.
He remains in custody.
Essex Police has now launched an appeal for witnesses.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Witnesses should call 101 citing incident 1250 of December 11."
