UP CLOSE with Maldon estate agents Temme English
Carl Temme and Steve English chose Maldon as the perfect location to open their fourth branch in 2019, after successfully running their award-winning sales and letting estate agents in various locations in Essex since 2010.
The branch's hardworking staff pride themselves on sharing their passion for Maldon with customers, while offering a professional service like no other.
Reece Warner, who is their branch manager, said: "Compared to other estate agents, one thing we tend to focus on more is customer service.
"We'll always have time for people and give lots of attention to our clients."
This same level of careful attention is given to every step of the buying and selling process by staff, while the listers on the team are professionally trained in photography.
"Every person that goes out and does the listing cares greatly about the
marketing and presentation of every property we are given the opportunity to sell," Reece said. "All our photos come out at a very high quality which stands out because marketing and photography is so important. "We also offer drone photography which gives us a unique aspect." Each customer receives the same high level of expertise. "We don't make people pay add-ons," Reece said. "Everything is completely paid for within the fee - you get the same level of photography and marketing." In a prime position at the top of the High Street, the business has already had great success in the town. Reece said: "We've been able to build a rapport with lots of people - all of our reviews are five stars." Crucially, the staff experience what they sell because they all live locally - this gives the business an important personal touch. Reece lived in Benfleet when he first joined the branch, but this quickly changed when he discovered the beauty of Maldon and its homes. "My wife and I put our flat in Benfleet on the market in December, moved into Heybridge in April and got married in July," he said. "There's so many hidden and secret beautiful walks here. "I chose to move here because I love working here. "The beauty of it is you don't normally get two of the same houses – you could be selling a 400-year-old cottage or a three-bedroom detached new-build house." This passion is shared by customers, too. "We had a viewer introduced by our Stanford-le-Hope branch who came down and viewed a house here, and bought it not knowing anything about the area," Reece said. "They just had a great feeling about it." The business also offers its customers the benefit of having branches across Essex - in Basildon, Colchester, Wickford, and more recently, Stanford-le-Hope. "Having the five branches works really well," Reece said. "We can handle someone who wants to sell their home in Maldon, for example, and move to Colchester. "It's so much better for the customer to have one estate agent that they can talk to as it makes the transaction less stressful." Staff are also passionate about supporting local initiatives. The branch is currently running a competition for children in which participants can design their dream house for a chance to win 1 of 13 prizes. The competition will be running until Friday 19 November - anyone who has a child aged under 11 can come into the office at 21 High Street to collect an entry form. The branch is also doing the pyjama appeal, which aims to provide pyjamas for children in need. Reece said: "Our staff have children in local schools and all love doing things for the community." The business has an exciting future ahead in the heart of the town and hopes to continue providing a high-quality service for customers and Maldon's busy housing market. Reece said: "A lot of people want to move to the district - there are so many people coming into the area from London and Basildon or Wickford. He added: "Our lettings team may also grow to the point where they even need additional space here." We are delighted to announce that Temme English will be partnering with Maldon Nub News. Karl Hancock, Nub News founder and chief executive officer, said: "It's great to welcome Temme English on board as a sponsor. "Without community-minded sponsors like them, we wouldn't be able to provide our readers with the hyper-local community news they deserve."
