SATURDAY: Get merry at the Mighty Oak's annual festive beer tasting day

The Mighty Oak Brewery is hosting its annual festive beer tasting day this Saturday (4 December) from 11am to 3pm.

Celebrate the beginning of the festive season with free entry and free tasters, alongside a bar and BBQ.

The team will have all of the brewery's beers tapped and ready for you to test out.

There is outdoor seating as well as space inside to stand.

Enjoy a range of bargains on offer across the Maldon district this Saturday (4 December), as local businesses take part in the Small Business Saturday campaign.

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign which spotlights and aims to drive support for small local businesses.

SUNDAY: Visit a Christmas steampunk market

Get ahead on your festive shopping at the Museum of Power's Christmas steampunk market this Sunday (5 December).

Find gift ideas, ride steam trains, visit the Astaria model village and enjoy family entertainment at the popular market, which will open at 10am and close at 3pm.

You can purchase tickets on the day, which cost £7 each for adults, £6 for concessions, £3 for children aged 5 to 15 and under 5s go free.
