The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of fog across the Maldon district running into the morning rush hour tomorrow (Monday, 7 December).

The warning is for the development of fog and icy patches covering a large area of the southeast, with Essex and the Maldon and Dengie area at the heart of it.

Fog and freezing fog patches are expected to form in the early hours (from around 4am) and persist right through to 11am. The visibilty will drop to less than 100 metres in places.

Some traffic delays and disruption to transport is possible. There is also a chance of cancellation or delay to any flights.
