Well-known British MC, comedian and internet personality, Big Narstie, is set to open an office in South Woodham's Queen Elizabeth Square.

Tyrone Mark Lindo, known by his stage name Big Narstie, will be opening the South Woodham office to host his Medical Cannabis business, Big Narstie Medical.

The business aims to deliver high-quality medicinal cannabis to UK patients.

In a video posted on social media on Saturday (September 7), Big Narstie stands outside the old Barclays Bank in Queen Elizabeth Square, South Woodham Ferrers.

"This will be our new home away from home." he says to the camera.

"Here we can improve patient care, and take this medical cannabis business to another level."

Heading inside the empty building, he adds: "This used to be a bank, but now it will be a different type of bank, an eco-friendly bank, of patients, of care, of love, of Rastafari."

Medical Cannabis was legalised in the UK in November 2018, with doctors on the General Medical Council's specialist register finally being able to prescribe cannabis-based products for medicinal use, where clinically appropriate and in the best interests of patients.

Medical cannabis is only likely to be prescribed for conditions including severe forms of epilepsy, chemotherapy induced nausea, muscle stiffness caused by multiple sclerosis, and in some cases for long-term pain.

In order to receive medical cannabis from Big Narstie Medical, patients must contact the business to check eligibility.

The initial specialist appointment will set patients back £95, with medication costing £8.50 a gram.

Big Narstie first begun releasing music in 2012, winning the 2012 Urban Music Award for best Grime Act, beating artists like Skepta and Lethal Bizzle.

He continued to make and feature in music up until 2020, working with the likes of Craig David and Robbie Williams.

In 2018, Channel 4 commissioned The Big Narstie Show, which quickly became one of Channel 4's most popular programmes for young audiences.

He has also featured on Great British Bake Off, Would I Lie to You?, Good Morning Britain, Britain's Got More Talent, Gogglebox, and a number of other popular shows.
