BREAKING: Two dead and another in serious condition following Southminster crash, Essex Police confirms

A man and woman died at the scene of a collision in Scotts Hill, Southminster last Wednesday (December 7) while another man remains in a serious condition in hospital.
The man and woman, both in their seventies, were pronounced dead at the scene, Essex Police has confirmed.
A red Ford Fiesta and grey Toyota C-HR were involved in a collision at 12.45pm on Wednesday.
The driver of the Toyota, and the passenger of the Fiesta, were sadly pronounced deceased.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Fiesta, a man also in his seventies, remains in a serious condition in hospital.
The road was closed in both directions, while emergency services attended.
Essex Police is appealing for information and witnesses of the double fatal collision.
