Temporary traffic lights are set to be in place on Maldon Road, Burnham-On-Crouch, from next Tuesday (September 26) until September 29.

Electrical utility works will take place next week as part of ongoing works at the Burnham Waters development. Therefore, temporary two-way traffic lights will be operational between 7am and 5pm on Maldon Road.

This will be followed by a daytime closure of the road on Monday 2 October, from 7am to 5pm. Diversions will be in place.

A spokesperson for Essex Highways said: "We would recommend drivers plan their journey to allow extra time during these works, checking signage for the latest information.

"Please be assured that no restrictions at this location will be in place on 30 September 2023, the date of the Burnham-on-Crouch Carnival."

The carnival is set to welcome visitors from all over the Maldon District and further afield next Saturday.
