Drugs and weapons seized from property just off Maldon High Street

Police executed a search warrant at a property in Maldon Friday morning and found a quantity of controlled drugs and weapons.

The Maldon Town Team and the Chelmsford  and Maldon Community Policing Team executed a search warrant early Friday morning (September 20), on a property in Chequers Lane. 

Officers quickly gained entry to the house using a hydraulic spreader, halligan bar and battering ram.

A search of the address by officers revealed a quantity of controlled drugs and weapons.

Multiple individuals were detained.

Inspector Girdlestone said: "This was yet again another early morning search warrant executed by the Maldon Town team which recovered controlled drugs and weapons. 

"Drug dealing and use will not be tolerated and I would encourage anyone with information concerning such offences to report it to the Police or crime stoppers".

Maldon Nub News have approached Essex Police for more information.
