Fight against drug crime continues as male arrested in Maldon

A suspected drug dealer was arrested this weekend after police intercepted his vehicle.
A vehicle of interest was stopped on Park Drive, alongside Promenade Park, during the day on Saturday, June 7.
The driver and his vehicle was searched, during which officers discovered a 'substantial' quantity of suspected Class B drugs, a significant amount of cash, digital weighing scales, and a suspected burner mobile phone.
The male was arrested at the scene, with officers on suspecting him of possession with intent to supply a controlled substance.
Speaking after the arrest, Sergeant Dalby of the Maldon Town Team said: "This is yet another excellent example of proactive policing by the team.
"We continue to target those involved in the supply of illegal drugs and are committed to disrupting criminal activity within our community.
"I have said it many times – if you are involved in drug dealing in Maldon, we will find you, and we will take action."
