First Bus have unveiled service and timetable changes to its mid Essex bus network.

The changes, which will come into effect from Sunday April 20, aim to improve punctuality of the existing bus services.

There are also plans for a new Monday to Sunday route, Service 333, which will see a route from Heybridge to Chelmsford via Maldon.

The new service will take passengers through the town and around the Westcombe Park area of Heybridge, before travelling to Chelmsford via Wycke Hill.

Buses will arrive every 30-minutes Monday to Saturday, with an hourly service operating on a Sunday alongside the existing 332 service to Burnham-on-Crouch.

You can access all the details on service changes and the new timetable here.
