Free family concert at the Maldon Festival tomorrow

THERE are places still available for the Maldon Festival's family concert tomorrow (Saturday, 3 July) at 12 noon - and free entry, too.
The organist has been changed for the event from Richard Cook to Tristan Mitchard (above) who will be playing the organ at St Mary's Church in Church Street, Maldon, tomorrow - but can be seen in the photo below with the Zebra he designed so people can see his feet as he plays!
From age seven to 13, Tristan was a chorister in New College Choir, Oxford. At 18, Tristan won an Organ Scholarship to Oxford University. Since then he has performed on the organ solo in USA, China, Korea, Australia, Israel, Mauritius, Barbados and in Europe, including to 3,000 people at the Hammersmith Apollo, London.
Tristan has also built and patented his own organ called the Zebra. It is designed with the keyboards on an angle, so the audience can see all the notes straight on, including the pedals.
You can find more details of tomorrow's event at the Maldon Festival website here.
