Maldon District Council and Bendcrete Skateparks are holding public consultation sessions to look at proposed Skatepark designs for Burnham-on-Crouch, West Maldon and Promenade Park.

The Public Design Consultation sessions aim to show the public the new designs, collect feedback and answer questions, with the end goal to inform the final design of the parks.

The new skateparks are being delivered as part of the Skatepark Upgrade Project, which will see a complete transformation of the existing skateparks in Promenade Park in Maldon and Riverside Park in Burnham-on-Crouch.

The plans will also see an additional skatepark constructed at West Maldon Community Centre.

So far design plans produced by Bendcrete Skateparks have been different for each park, offering a variety of features including bowls, flat rails, volcanos and halfpipes.

The Public Design Consultation Sessions are as follows:

Maldon Promenade Park Skatepark - Monday, January 6 2025 from 8pm to 8.30pm at Maldon District Council.

Burnham-on-Crouch Skatepark - Monday, January 6 from 5pm to 5.30pm at Burnham Town Council.

West Maldon Skatepark - Monday January 6 from 7pm to 7.30pm at West Maldon Community Centre.

Subject to necessary planning consent, works are scheduled to begin in the New Year, with an expected completion date of August 2025.

The project has been supported by the Maldon District Council Section 106 Youth Facilities Programme.
