The individual had been charged and will be remanded in custody to be presented before magistrates on Monday (January 15).

The individual was arrested by Essex Police's Operational Support Team following an investigation by the Maldon Town Team.

The suspect was found with a significant amount of cash and suspected cocaine.

As a result of the finding, the individual was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to supply.

The individual has since been charged and is remanded in custody to be presented before Magistrates on Monday morning.

Sergeant Dalbs of the Maldon Town Team said 'This was a great arrest by our colleagues from the Operational Support Group. The Maldon Town Team have conducted a diligent investigation and have secured charges against the suspect. We will continue to target and disrupt drug dealing in the Maldon area'

The charge follows a series of unrelated drug busts in the Maldon area.
