Shoppers grabbing those last-minute bargains at Maldon's Fiver Fest

Fiver Fest in Maldon came to an end on Saturday (26 October) after proving a roaring success for the High Street in these challenging times.

Now the town centre's businesses want to thank all those shoppers who grabbed a bargain over the two weeks the Totally Locally festival ran for helping them to get back on their feet.

Fiver Fest organiser Allison Gray, owner of Willow & Fox in Quest Place and chair of Maldon Business Board, said: ""Fiver fest has been a huge success and I would like to take the opportunity to thank the public for spending their £5 and more with High Street independent businesses.

"It's been lovely to see regulars and of course new faces who will hopefully continue to support us in the future.

On Saturday, shoppers buying the £5 special deals also got the chance to have their names entered for a prize draw, with the winner winning ALL the deals.

Allison added: "In challenging times Fiver Fest brought a buzz back to the High Street and it was so nice to get a taste of normality back. Watch this space for the raffle winner to be announced later this week."
