Maldon's hustings event is set to go ahead this evening (June 24), with all five candidates going head-to-head to win resident's votes.

The event is taking place at Maldon United Reformed Church, Market Hill, and will begin at 7.30 pm.

The five candidates in attendance include:

  • Simon Burwood of the Liberal Democrats
  • Onike Gollo of the Labour Party
  • Sir John Whittingdale of the Conservatives
  • Pamela Walford of Reform UK
  • Isobel Doubleday of the Green Party

The event has been organised by Churches Together, and seats will be offered to the public on a first come, first serve basis, with numbers possibly being limited for safety reasons.

Voters in the area can submit questions for the candidates in advance to [email protected] with the opportunity for additional questions on the night.

There is only Blue Badge parking available on-site, with visitors encouraged to use town car parks.
