Click It Local, the new virtual high street service in Maldon district to support independent shops, now has almost 1,000 products available to local residents - and discount codes for some favourite shops, too.

Residents anywhere in the area can use Click It Local Maldon to buy from any participating local shop and have it delivered on the same day.

From weekly food essentials, gifts, clothes and treats to last-minute basics, customers can buy everything they need from as many participating local shops as they like, with one payment and one delivery.

The scheme has been announced in partnership with Maldon District Council.

Founder Steve Koch said: "We are delighted that so many stores have signed up with us in Maldon. Our mission is to help save the high street and independent stores by making shopping local easier and faster.

"We hope to further expand our services throughout Essex and Suffolk. We are calling for more Maldon shops to sign up to our services and for the Maldon community to keep shopping local."

Paul Raymond from Maldon butchers Ansell & Sons, said: "Using Click It Local has expanded our delivery area and broadened our e-commerce presence - attracting customers new and existing. Very simple to set and maintain! Being part of Click It Local will enable our local business owners to have their products delivered on the same day to more than 230,000 households across Mid and North Essex."
