Maldon District Council to trial outdoor gym at Promenade Park
Fancy a bit of fitness by the river? Maldon District Council has launched a free outdoor gym trial at Promenade Park, running thoughout July.
From July 9 until July 21, residents and visitors can test out the new gym, located near the sea wall by the Marine Lake.
The installation has been provided by Kompan, the same company responsible for the new play areas introduced to Promenade Park and Riverside Park in 2024.
Cllr Richard Siddall, Leader of Maldon District Council, said: "Promenade Park is at the heart of our community, and we're committed to exploring new ways to encourage healthy, active lifestyles for all.
"This trial outdoor gym is an exciting addition, and I urge everyone to come along, get active, and let us know what you think.
"Your feedback will help shape the future of our park."
The trial hopes to gauge public interest in a permanent outdoor gym facility.
Kompan representatives will be giving live demonstrations on how to use the equipment between 11am and 4pm on Thursday 10, Tuesday 15, and Thursday 17 of July.
