Maldon District Council (MDC) will vote on an application next week to allow the sale of alcohol at a mobile cafe bar at Riverside Park on Station Road.

The application for a premises licence, from mobile bar company Bars 4 Events, applies to the sale of alcohol at the site between 11am and 9.30pm from Monday to Wednesday, and between 11am and 10pm from Thursdays to Sundays.

The application document states: "We are proposing that we are open Thursday to Sunday during term time and up to 7 days a week during school holidays."

The application requests licensing for the sale of alcohol both on the premises - with tables in front of the mobile bar for customers - and away from the premises.

MDC's licensing sub-committee will consider and vote on the application at its meeting on Monday 9 August.
