MALDON drivers may be interested to know that Highways England have opened a public consultation (Wednesday, 23 June) on plans to widen the A12 between Chelmsford and Marks Tey.

A spokesperson for Highways England said yesterday (Tuesday, 22 June): "Today starts our eight-week consultation on plans to widen 15 miles of the A12 between Chelmsford and Marks Tey.

People can visit our virtual exhibition, watch fly-through simulations, book to meet our project team online or in person."
