Are you a talented mechanical design engineer who is looking to work for a market-leading international business?

A market-leading international business which designs and manufactures electro mechanical machines that are used in scientific laboratories worldwide is looking for a mechanical design engineer.

Starting salary is in the range of £45,000-£50,000.

In addition to full competence in Solid Works, ideal attributes include:

- A natural enthusiasm for design and communication skills and a personality which lends you to interaction with research and development colleagues, and with colleagues in quality, supply chain, manufacturing and with customers.

- The flair to make things happen.

- A design engineer who is comfortable with and stimulated by the sharing and communication of ideas that flourish from interacting with colleagues inside and outside the research and development department.

- Proven experience of DFM.

- Design experience that has included the areas of metal fabrication and mechanisms.

- You should be qualified to degree (or equivalent) level in a mechanical engineering discipline and be able to demonstrate experience of working closely with colleagues whose expertise is in other fields of engineering (i.e., electrical, electronics).

- The mechanical design engineer will be joining a successful and dynamic business which offers stimulating engineering challenges for those who enjoy and are adept at problem solving.
