Pupils at a Maldon primary school are enjoying an enhanced outdoor classroom after receiving a donation from Taylor Wimpey.

The residential developer put £500 towards the forest school project at All Saints Primary School, in Highlands Drive, to help the school fund a new storage shed for equipment.

Pupils have been exploring nature and wildlife through a range of activities at the forest school, including den building, woodland crafts, storytelling and cooking.

Phil Brown, headteacher at All Saints Primary School, said: "We are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for helping us to buy a storage shed for our forest school.

"The pupils are really enjoying the outdoor activities and having the shed to store a wide range of equipment is invaluable."

Alex Greaves, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey London, said: "Exploring the outdoors is so important for young people, so we are really pleased to have been able to support the forest school project at All Saints Primary School.

"There are a lot of young families living at Handley Gardens and it's great to be able to help children enjoy outdoor activities."

Taylor Wimpey is building new homes in Maldon at the Handley Gardens development.
