The Maldon retirement property which sustained serious damage during Storm Bert is now fully repaired.

Emergency services were called to Embassy Court in Maldon High Street on November 24 after the gable end area of the roof collapsed.

First Port, the Property Management Company in charge of the site, now says the roof is fully repaired.

A spokesperson for First Port told Nub News: "The roof has now been fully repaired, with the cost of the roof repairs covered by the building insurance.

"Our team have been on hand to assist residents following the damage caused by the storm, and we are grateful for their patience and understanding whilst we coordinated the repairs."

Firefighters from Maldon Fire Station attended the incident last month, as well as Police and the Ambulance Service.

No-one was injured or trapped in the collapse.

Emergency crews remained on scene for two hours and a section of the High Street closed while the damage was assessed,
