One of Maldon's most-loved hairdressers, Aesthetics Hair, celebrated its 30th anniversary this weekend (Saturday, July 13).

The hairdressers, located on Edwards Walk, has been run by the same two local women, best friends Karen and Jo, since its opening in 1994.

They were only 25 and 21.

In a message to Nub News the women said: "We can't believe it's been 30 years, time really does fly when you are having fun…

"The loyalty of our clients is something we never take for granted, we love that we now see their children, and in some cases their grandchildren too.

"Obviously we couldn't be a successful salon without an amazing team behind us.Over the years we have worked with and trained some amazing stylists, we are very proud of all of them and their accomplishments.

"We have been so lucky to have Gabbie, our manager, with us for over 19-years. The three of us have managed the salon through the good and the bad - who could have predicted Covid!

"We would like to thank all of our amazing clients new and old for making these 30 years possible."

Aesthetics Hair is now home to nine stylists, and prides itself on being a L'Oreal premier salon.
