Man collapses during medical emergency in Maldon gym
Emergency services rushed to Blackwater Retail Park on Friday after reports a man had collapsed and was experiencing problems with his heart.
Two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Essex and Herts Air ambulance were sent to the scene at Maldon PureGym at around 1.10pm, Friday March 7.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called on Friday to a medical emergency in a gym on the Blackwater Retail Park in Maldon.
"An adult man was transported by road to the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre at Basildon Hospital for further treatment."
An onlooker reported seeing the man undergoing CPR by other gym-goers ahead of the arrival of emergency services.
