If you know someone who is alone or isolated this Christmas then you could bring a festive surprise with a difference to their doorstep.

A local modern choir is offering the chance to nominate loved ones and friends living in the Maldon, Danbury and Chelmsford areas for a carol-singing visit to their doorstep – with a special Christmas message from you.

The Sound Collective Chorus – which operates in the three areas above – normally has a major Christmas concert at this time of year. Current restrictions prevent this but not to be defeated, the choir will provide the free service to a limited number of people chosen from the nominations. The activity will Covid-safe, with full adherence to government guidelines.

Nominations must be received by Thursday, 17 December and visits will take place between 18 and 22 December. If your nomination is selected, you will be contacted with a date and time window for the visit.

To nominate someone for this uplifting festive treat simply email via the link here. The full email address can also be found on the poster with this article. Give the details of the person you would like 'The Cold Caller Carollers' to visit and the reason for your nomination.

The Sound Collective Chorus is an Essex-based modern choir open to anyone to join. You can find their Facebook page at the link here. Alternatively, email Emma Durrant via the link here.
