More arrests as Maldon Police crackdown on drug crime

The Maldon Local Policing Team have been busy so far this week, arresting several men in relation to drug crime in three separate incidents.
Yesterday (June 10), officers arrested a male on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
A significant quantity of suspected Class A substances and a substantial amount of cash were recovered.
The male was also arrested on suspicion of drug driving and has been taken into custody for further questioning.
In a separate incident, officers from the Maldon Local Policing Team arrested another male found to be in possession of a knife and suspected drugs.
The arrests follow another unrelated incident on Saturday, where a vehicle on interest was stopped with officers discovering suspected drugs and cash.
Sergeant Dalby of the Maldon Town Team said:
"These arrests are the result of targeted intelligence-led policing.
"We remain committed to disrupting criminal activity and making Maldon a safer place for everyone."
The team say they will continue to work in partnership with the public and local agencies to address crime and build stronger, safer neighbourhoods.
