The MP for Maldon has said he is "pleased that more high-quality homes are being built" in the district, following a visit to a new development in Burnham.

Developer David Wilson Homes is currently building the 170-home Corinthian Place estate on Maldon Road in Burnham, alongside Blackwater Reach in Southminster and Riverside Grange in North Fambridge.

Conservative MP John Whittingdale said today (Wednesday, 9 February) that he has "no doubt that these three developments will prove extremely popular".

He said: "I was most impressed by the high quality of the new homes, as well as the standards of construction."

He congratulated James Armstrong, the site manager, for winning a prestigious Pride in the Job Quality Award last year for the Burnham development, alongside Rob Ruffy and Jordan Cannon for their respective sites in North Fambridge and Southminster.

Mr Whittingdale continued: "David Wilson Homes has an excellent record in providing quality homes in the district and I have no doubt that these three developments will prove extremely popular."
