An application for 63 dwellings in Burnham-on-Crouch has been received by Maldon District Council planning committee.

The application by David Wilson Homes, validated March 28, details construction on land south of Brent Way and off Endeavour Way.

The planning is for 63 dwellings, 25 of which would be affordable housing.

It also outlines associated works with the development, including plans for open spaces, pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure, car and cycle parking and drainage infrastructure.

The greenland, which is currently vacant, sits alongside Springfield Industrial Estate, near to Burnham Ramblers Football Club.

The application has already received six public objections, with residents listing lack of school places, insufficient medical facilities, and historic road infrastructure as the main reasons for objection.
