The Maldon Town Policing Team has made yet another drug-related arrest in the town.

Following the sighting of a vehicle of interest in the Maldon North area, officers quickly intercepted and drug tested the female driver.

She returned a positive result for cocaine and was immediately arrested.

The male passenger was also searched, and officers discovered a significant quantity of suspected cocaine in his possession.

As a result, both individuals were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Sergeant Dalby, of the Maldon Town Team, said: "We continue to actively protect our communities from the harm caused by drug dealers.

"These individuals bring violence and misery to our neighbourhoods. This team will look for you, we will find you — and you will be arrested."
