ESSEX police have appealed to residents of Maldon to help them identify a man they wish to speak to following an incident in the town when another person was threatened and had a car driven at him.

The force has issued a picture of the man they are seeking and said: "We want to speak to him about an incident in which a 38-year-old man was threatened and a Mini Cooper was driven towards him.

"The incident happened outside St Peter's Court Care Home in Spital Road, Maldon, on 30 November and is believed to have been targeted.

"Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries to identify the man and ask anyone who recognises him to contact the Maldon local policing team quoting reference 42/195683/20.

"You can submit a report online here where you can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm. Alternatively, you can call 101.
