The Park and Ride bus service between Sandon and Chelmsford will begin again on Monday, 12 April, on the day non-essential retail shops can re-open.

Essex County Council has said that initially a reduced timetable will be in place.

The site will provide services between 7am and 7pm Monday to Saturday, but passengers are advised to check the county council's website or social media before travelling for any updates or changes which could occur due to operational reasons.

A spokesperson for Essex County Council said: "The services will be operating in line with current government social distancing requirements and therefore there may be a slightly longer wait to board a vehicle due to reduced capacity on board.

"Passengers are advised to be patient and follow advice from service staff."
