Police launch appeal for witnesses after Bicknacre crash leaves a teenage driver fighting for life

Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash on Main Road, Bicknacre, left a teenage driver with life-threatening injuries.

The accident happened before 5pm today (Wednesday, 7 April) and involved two cars - a Silver Fiesta travelling towards South Woodham Ferrers and a Corsa being driven in the opposite direction.

The air ambulance, road ambulance and fire brigade all attended and the teenage driver of the silver Fiesta has been taken to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Corsa – a man in his 80s – has been taken to hospital for assessment.

Anyone who was in the vicinity and may have either witnessed the collision or captured dash cam footage of the incident or the vehicles just prior to the collision is asked to call Essex Police on 101 quoting incident 797 of 7 April.
