Details of the upcoming Burnham Town Council elections have been released by Maldon District Council - with seven seats in need of filling.

The elections will decide five seats for Burnham-on-Crouch North Ward and two for Burnham-on-Crouch South Ward.

The vacancies came after the mass departure of councillors from Burnham Town Council in November, following disputes.

The departures left the Town Council non-quorate, forcing the temporary appointment of Maldon District Councillors Vanessa Bell, Una Siddal-Norman and Ron Pratt.
