Successful drug warrant executed at Burnham address

One individual has been arrested after a successful drug warrant at a property in Burnham-on-Crouch in the early hours of this morning, October 27.

Essex Police's Maldon Town Team, Chelmsford and Maldon Community Policing Team and the Operational Support Team joined forces to gain access to the property.

After taking a chainsaw to the length of the door, Officers discovered large quantities of controlled drugs and weapons.

All occupants were detained quickly.

One individual was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply and for being in possession of offensive weapons.

Sergeant Dalby of the Maldon Town Team said: "Drug dealing and illegal weapons will not be tolerated in our communities. 

"My team are experts in acquiring intelligence that will lead to search warrants being issued by the Courts. 

"If you are dealing drugs, we will locate you and you will be arrested and presented to the Courts. 

"Anyone with information about drug dealing or illegal weapons should contact us on our website or via crime stoppers".
