AN open garden event in aid of the life-saving local RNLI will take place next Friday (25 September) in Maldon.

The Blue House at 19 Chelmer Terrace, close to the riverside, will have its beautiful and unique garden open to the public from 2pm to 5pm – though booking is essential so that Covid-safety rules can be fully observed.

Visitors will be able to see the last of this year's summer flowers as well as the preparations now going on for a spectacular 2021 display.

Cakes, jam and chutney will be for sale and social distancing will be in place.

There is a suggested donation of £3 per adult (children go free) to Maldon RNLI, which is charity of the year for Town Mayor, Councillor Abdul Abdul Hafiz.
