THE Essex County Council results for the Maldon district have been declared in the 2021 local elections.

The results are as follows:

Southminster:

  • Wendy Stamp (Independent): 3131 votes
  • Ron Pratt (Con): 2281
  • James Taylor (Green): 311 votes
  • Jacqueline 1Brown (Lab): 369 votes
  • James Eley (Lib Dem): 139 votes
  • Peter Horscroft (UKIP): 235 votes
ELECTED: Wendy Stamp (Independent)

Maldon:
  • Kevin Lagan (Independent): 698 votes
  • Chrisy Morris (Independent): 140 votes
  • Jane Fleming (Conservative): 2818 votes
  • Janet Dine (nee Band) (Green): 356 votes
  • Stephen Capper (Labour): 424 votes
  • Colin Baldy (Lib Dem): 1126 votes

ELECTED: Jane Fleming (Conservative)

Heybridge & Tollesbury:

  • John Driver (Lib Dem): 397 votes
  • Mark Durham (Con): 3359 votes
  • Ann Griffin (Lab): 618 votes
  • Jonathan King (Green): 600 votes
  • Carey Martin (Independent): 935 votes
ELECTED: Mark Durham (Conservative)

The above results at Five Lakes Resort in Colchester Road, Tolleshunt Knights, today (Friday, 7 May).
