The independent regulator has recently published inspection information for two care homes in the Maldon area.

Longfield Care Home and Park View Care Home have been rated "Good" by the Care Quality Commission.

The CQC rates care services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are.

A "Good" inspection rating means the service is performing well and meeting the CQC expectations.

Longfield Care Home, Fambridge Close, Maldon and Park View Care Home, Kings Chase, Witham, both received a 'Good' rating across the board.

The inspection summary of Longfield Care Home states: "People and their family members were very complimentary about the service and told us they were happy with the care provided. Risks to people's health and welfare were identified and assessed.

"People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice."

The report also stressed the quality of care provided by care home staff, saying: "People said staff were compassionate, kind, and caring, treated them as an individual and listened to their views and opinions. People's end-of-life wishes and preferences were discussed, and staff were trained to support people in a dignified way."

Both care homes were found to be 'Good' at their last inspections in 2017 and 2018 respectively.
