Two cyclists were injured following a collision which also involved a car in Wickham Bishops yesterday (Wednesday, 8 September).

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "The cyclists - both men - were taken to hospital for treatment.

"Our enquiries are ongoing.

The accident led to the temporary road closure of Blue Mills Hill so that police could deal with the collision.

Eyewitnesses reported experiencing traffic delays for up to two hours following the crash.

They said that the traffic cleared at around 4pm, when only a police car remained on scene.
