Maldon District Council has tonight (Monday, 8 February) issued an urgent service update with regard to waste collections this week.

Waste collections are suspended tomorrow (Tuesday).

A council spokesperson said: "Due to heavy snowfall and icy conditions, waste collections may be disrupted this week.

"Please present your waste on your usual collection day and our crews will collect it as soon as conditions allow. We apologise for the disruption to service and thank you for your patience."
