MALDON customers of phone giant EE are facing a third consecutive weekend of phone signal loss.

The telecommunications company revealed last weekend that the repeated disruption to services was down to upgrade work on two masts affecting the local area - after Maldon Nub News contacted the EE press office to find out what was going on in response to local complaints.

However, EE did not respond to a further question about whether the works were complete - and local customers have lost signal on their phones again this morning.

A spokesperson for the company last week said that customers are able to use wi-fi signal to make and take calls on their mobile phones.

Maldon Nub News has this morning (Saturday, 7 November) approached the company again for further clarification on when the mast work is expected to end and will provide any further updates that become available.
